The name of Saint Ives is that this town belongs to a saint or some religious leader, and this is true. The name of this town is named after Saint Ives. This town, located on the south side of Cornwall, is at a different level of beauty, with more diversity than other towns.

St Ives is a magnificent town in Cornwall. The town is old and has a historical background, but more important about this place is its natural beauty. The town is next to the sea. St. Ives town is divided into old and new parts. most of the new development happened on the highland of the town, but old stone houses, an old market and heritage are located near the sea. St Ives was a fishermen's town before it became a tourist destination, but today St Ives is emerging as a hot tourist destination in Cornwall. for many years, St Ives has won many awards as a popular tourist destination in the United Kingdom.

St Ives has many sandy and blue water beaches, also St Ives’s beaches are very famous for water sports and surfing. You can carry your kayak or boat for your entertainment, but you will need a licence for it if somebody check. Apart from beaches, the market is very attractive and old, and some local handmade articles will attract your interest. The best part of this town is the town’s streets, very narrow and organic. For most of the shops, residents, restaurants and galleries in the street, you will see the stone layers and carving, and the flooring of the street still looks the same as a medieval times.  all colours and textures of the heritages will give you a glimpse of an old era of medieval rich architectural style.

St Ives is a picturesque town, everywhere you will see scenery and god gifted beauty of nature. The town is also best for photography. natural beauty, beaches and town streets will give you the most unique photos.

Every Beach has a "PAY AND PARK" Facility, but park your vehicle at your hotel and start walking toward the beach

You can spend a full day in St Ives

TRAIN OR ROAD TRIP

The place is well connected by buses and train, the train journey will be your best experience, and it's my suggestion that if you don’t have a car then plan your trip by train, the track of train going along the coastal line and field will give you best time during the journey, and you will see the most amazing view from the train journey. However, you cannot compete for your train journey with a road trip; a road trip will be your best experience for a lifetime.

OH SEAFOOD

Apart from the beauty of the town, one more thing I like most here is the local food. Before the town became famous among travellers the town was mainly associated with the fishing business, and still, locals are doing fishing, so most of the travellers prefer fish dishes. You can try local fish and dishes at the seaside restaurant.

1. Coastal path Walk

The walk is the best way to explore St. Ives. After we had parked my car in the hotel’s parking, we took the coastal path for a little trek, I had some thoughts in my mind about the beauty of the sideways coastline before I started walking on the coastal path, and I could say that during my walk on the coastal path, we had seen the spectacular view on every stop. A little walk on the coastal path will refresh not only your mind but also revive your energy in the body. The Coastal path passes beside beaches, goes through highlands, and through greenery. At some point, the coastal path crosses the railway track. In some parts of this little trek on the coastal path, you will see the most incredible residences, villas and flower hedges.

2. Carbis Beach

Carbis Beach was the first beach during my little trek on the coastal pathway, a sandy beach is very eminent for relaxation and sunbathing, this beach is also appropriate for beach sports. Subsequently, with little relaxation on the Carbis Beach, we moved toward  Porthminister Beach.

PAY and PARK AVAILABLE

3. Porthminster Beach

Sky blue water and the golden sandy beach is one of the gems in St Ives. The beach looks like a notch into the cliff, so you will see beach rock on both sides of the beach. The beach is located between two rocky highlands, therefore, the length is very small, though this beach is perfect for a family picnic.

Water surfing, boating and water sports

Food – Porthminister Beach Café
