Tintagel or Trevena is a civil parish and village situated on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall. The village is very historical, medieval and old. This village is very eminent for its King Arthur-related story. The village is tiny, but it is the most visited place in Cornwall. Historical sites and houses in Tintagel are exceptional from the rest of the UK.
The natural attractiveness around the village is one more reason to visit this village, beautiful mountains and coastline will refresh your mind, and when you walk on the coastal path, you will forget your all stress, and you will be astonished by the sunset on the coast path but unfortunately, this place has no sandy beaches.

Tintagel Attractions
Tintagel village itself is a stunning village, and it is totally dissimilar from the ordinary village, but in other words, the village has an extraordinary beauty.
Most of the monuments and houses are built from stone, which is totally different from the rest of England. The most identical feature I liked in Cornwall was the
compound walls of houses, which were made from stone or slate, and positioned in an attractive pattern.
The village is very small and there is one main road in Cornwall village where you will see a few old monuments, shops and residential areas along this main road, but the castle is a little away from the village.
If you are in Tintagel, then you must visit the following locations.
1. Old post office
2. King Arthur Centre
3. Visitor Centre
4. Tintagel Castle
5. Coastal Path Walk
1.Tintagel Post office
The old Post Office is a popular tourist destination where almost most people go, it is very popular for its antiquity, till today the post office is in good condition and is worth viewing.
The post office is a good example of medieval architecture, with stone layers on the walls and a slate roof are aesthetic features which take us to the medieval age. the post office is still functioning, but you can buy a ticket to see the interior of the building, Furthermore, you can see the post office from the outside without a ticket, and you can click photos from outside the post office.

3. Visitor Centre, Tintagel Village

4. Medieval Church, Tintagel Village

5. Tintagel Castle
Tintagel Castle is a medieval fortification located on the peninsula of Tintagel Island, adjacent to the village of Tintagel. The castle is just 15 minutes walking distance from Tintagel village. the car is not allowed to drive near the castle, therefore, the best advice from me is to keep your car at your accommodation. if you will be travelling from afar, then you will find pay and park in Tintagel village in different locations.
Tintagel Castle is almost in a ruined position, but its footprint and ruined wall still stand. The castle was built in the 13th century by King Richard, but after the 13th century, the castle was ruined due to no maintenance. The castle has a long association with legends related to King Arthur.
Tintagel Castle is the most visited place in Tintagel village, tourist goes to see British history and King Arthur-related moments. Trekking on the mountain and having beautiful views around the mountain is the second reason to visit this place.
